About Us
Our Story
Wellcom offers its clients a total range of services including design services and cross-media adaptations, 3D and 2D illustration, photography and creative retouching, online and digital services, TVC production, video and animation, Pre-media, image and asset libraries and online workflow processes.
Wellcom began in 2000 as a private company, before listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in July 2005.
The company, founded by Wayne Sidwell, identified a need in the Australian marketplace, and developed a proprietary content management platform, with inbuilt workflow technology, known as Knowledgewell. The Sidwell family has been a leader in the graphic arts industry in Australia, and some would argue the world, for over 50 years. The Sidwells have built an enviable reputation for embracing technology, extracting its potential, and deploying solutions that make a significant and measurable difference.
Wellcom is a continuum of the Sidwell dynasty. Growing strong relationships through its technology base, the business transformed from a relatively small private company employing 12 staff in 2000 to a global entity proudly supported by a talented team of over 400 in 2012. The Wellcom technology has delivered on its promise.
It has removed costs, automated tasks, simplified process management and streamlined workflow. The key performance indicator has been its ability to transform our client’s marketing process into a simpler, more efficient and inclusive journey.
Growth promotes growth. Wellcom quickly expanded beyond Melbourne and quickly set up operational facilities in Sydney, Adelaide, London, Auckland, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The company followed its client-base into aligned markets and extended its product offering from print to multi-channel services that includes television production, online and creative services.
Wellcom’s mission is to continue leading the industry and importantly, listen to our clients, and continually tailor our offering to meet the changing needs of the market.
