Pre-Media to Print

Pre-media is the last stage in the overall marketing print process. It is the final file to be signed off, and the one that places a client’s message to ink on paper. Therefore it’s a critical step in the production cycle. Many businesses rely on off the shelf software to complete this task, while others may leave it to a printer – both offer high risk. Wellcom can also digitally send the Pre-media file to publications and printers, or transition it to CTP (Computer To Plate), or to any of Wellcom’s many digital print businesses whether it is large format or personalized and variable print.

The KIP Multi-version press is a state-of-the-art digital printing platform that not only prints large format, but has built-in smarts to offer variable data within the same print run without stopping. That is all the variants are pre-programmed into the press and printed in the one run. Better still is the fact that there are virtually few limitations. The benefits are faster print-runs, accuracy of content as all content is client provided via an excel spreadsheet and sizes can up to A0 or 910mm wide by 40m long. Ideal for P.O.S, Ticketing and Price-points. The most exciting use of digital print and P.O.S is however, the multi version variable print process. This affords clients many changes to P.O.S material by means of variable data. It occurs in the one print run and the variations are virtually limitless. You can change price, offer, text, image, store name, department name, sale name and so it goes on.
